Electric Circus: New Orleans at Common Tone Series

  • Hi-Ho Lounge 2239 Saint Claude Avenue New Orleans, LA, 70117 United States (map)

Electric Circus is a project that originated in Seattle, WA from the mind of composer Wayne Horvitz. Through a series of conducted improvisations, known as "conduction", Electric Circus remixes classic soul and rock for the 21st century with sampled grooves, improvised sonic exploration and reinventions of mid 20th century psychedelia. Tonight, guitarist/composer Tristan Gianola, who played in Horvitz's Electric Circus, recreates the project with a full lineup of New Orleans musicians.
